  • At Vasse Dental we try to create a safe and caring environment for the whole family and will treat patients of all ages as suitable.

  • While we do not offer in house financing we do work with Medipay, Afterpay and Zipmoney to help with giving access to higher cost dental treatments.

  • Please Contact us immediately, in the interim if your medical history doesn’t contradict taking them a combination of ibuprofen and Paracetamol has been shown to be effective  in payment of oral pain. The most potent combination is usually alternating every 2 hours between doses of Paracetamol and Ibuprofen.

  • While everyone is different and a customised recall schedule will be decided on after an initial examination for most people we find a 6 monthly schedule for checkups and cleans.

  • Gum disease comes in many different presentations, the most mild form of gum disease is called gingivitis and will present with bleeding gums, this is usually treated with thorough cleaning either at home or professionally. More advanced gum disease is usually referred to as periodontitis and is usually seen as a loss of the bone and or gum holding teeth in place, this can be treated professionally to stop its progression but can be very difficult if not impossible repair any damage that has occurred.

  • If you have a chipped or broken tooth, if you have the broken segment please bring it in with you; while not always in some cases the broken fragment can be used to restore the tooth.

  • For most people brushing for 2 minutes twice a day and cleaning between teeth between with either floss or interproximal brushes (such as piksters). While it is possible to do an excellent job brushing with a manual toothbrush most people find it easier to do a good job with an electric toothbrush.

  • If a tooth has been knocked, if possible put the back into where it came from; if you cannot please collect the tooth in a small container and store in either saliva or in milk. Please see a dentist as soon as possible.
